Description

This course will teach you how to fabricate a Ricketts Retainer, commonly used for post-orthodontic retention. You will receive step-by-step instruction of popular wire clasps and the Ricketts labial bow, as well as acrylicing, trimming, and finishing procedures.

This course is intended for technicians with some retainer wire bending experience. To ensure a successful learning experience, the online Ortho-Lab Wire Bending and Hawley Retainer courses are strongly advised as a prerequisite.

Continuing Education Credits

This course includes free Continuing Education (CE) submission to the National Board of Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC). To receive CE credit, you must complete the work listed in the last chapter of this course and then submit a series of digital photographs to our instructors. Once approved, you will be able to download and print a letter and certificate of course completion.
